THIS is the hysterical moment an Irish dad tries to free a bat in his kitchen while his horrified wife hides in fear of their winged visitor.
The clip, filmed by Tadhg Fleming in Co. Kerry, shows the moment the wayward creature wreaks havoc in his family home, leaving his poor mother hiding behind a glass door.
Things get pretty chaotic as Tadhg’s father – clad in football shorts and long woolly socks – desperately tries to shepherd the bat back out into the night.
The highlight of the video is arguably the family puppy using the distraction to casually urinate on the floor in the background.
After finally releasing the bat back into the great outdoors where it belongs, Tadhg’s dad wipes his hands with the proud grin of a man who has done his duty.
“'So a Bat flew into our house last night, safe to say it was dealt with in a calm and mannerly fashion,” Tadhg wrote in a Facebook post accompanying the hilarious video – which quickly garnered thousands of views from amused viewers batting an eyelid or two.
