'Art of mowing' video shows Irish farming in a majestic new light

IT'S not often that tractors and silage are described as the stuff of great beauty, but a new video highlights the majesty of farming in Ireland in the summer months.

'The Art of Mowing' was shot by Paul Brennan who describes himself as a drone video hobbyist.

The ariel footage was filmed just outside Carlow, on farmer Michael Byrne's land. Brennan does most of his filming in the Carlow and Sligo areas.

Silage season in Ireland is typically between May and June in Ireland and Brennan says when he saw a local contractor mowing he found it "mesmerising".

Set to classical music, the short video elevates mowing to a new level and is strangely relaxing to watch.
