‘Glasgow’s green and f****** white’ – Peaky Blinders star’s tribute to Celtic ace Kieran Tierney

PEAKY BLINDERS actor Paul Anderson, who plays gang member Arthur Shelby, has paid tribute to Celtic star Kieran Tierney.

Filming is underway on the fifth series of the Birmingham-based drama, which also stars Irish actor Cillian Murphy.

However it appears at least one Shelby sibling isn’t a fan of either Aston Villa or Birmingham.

In a video posted on the Celtic defender’s Twitter account, Anderson is shown holding Tierney’s signed hoops jersey.

“Glasgow’s green and F****** white,” he says, adding: “Kieran, this is for you son, by order of the f****** Peaky Blinders.”

Shelby/Anderson then kisses the club badge.

The video went down a storm with Celtic fans, but not so well with supporters of other clubs.

Peaky Blinders series five began filming in September. It is due to air in 2019 when it will move from BBC Two to BBC One.
