Liam Gallagher celebrates son's birthday alongside girlfriend weeks on from 'choke' allegations

LIAM GALLAGHER has taken to Instagram to share a picture of himself and girlfriend Debbie Gwyther celebrating his son Lennon's birthday.

The image comes weeks after footage the Oasis frontman appearing to 'choke' Gwyther was published by the tabloid press.

Both Gallagher and Gwyther disputed the suggestion he had been physically violent towards her, immediately branding it a "pack of lies".

And they were all smiles in the newly-shared snap, which features Liam's two sons Lennon, 19, and Gene, 17, along with another unknown individual.

Gallagher can be seen laughing in the photo while Debbie appears to be hugging the singer affectionately.

The group appear to be over in Tokyo, Japan celebrating Lennon turning 19.

"Happy Birthday Lennon x" Liam's simple caption reads.

The Britpop icon has always denied any wrongdoing in the incident involving Gwyther.

"I have never put my hands on any woman in a vicious manner," he wrote on Twitter after the story broke.

Gwyther, meanwhile, insisted that they were 'drunkenly messing around and it's been made into something it wasn't'.

"It feels like they're on a witch hunt to dirty Liam's name," she told The Mirror.

"Our relationship is stronger than ever. Liam's never laid a hand on me. It is completely ridiculous."
