The 25th anniversary Rehab Golf Classic took place at Moor Park golf club in Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire with the funds raised going to help those affected by brain injury.
The Rehab UK Golf Classic was first held back in 1993 and was established by Mayo man Pat Ruddy and a group of fellow businessmen, many of them Irish.
The Belmullett native is still at the helm and he and his hard working committee have so far raised in excess of £920,000 for the charity, and are hoping to hit the £1 million mark this year.
Among those hitting the fairways this year were former world light-heavyweight boxing champion John Conteh and former Tottenham, Blackburn and England footballer David Bentley.
The funds raised go to equip those affected by brain injury and other disabilities with the skills they need to face the numerous challenges that lie ahead of them, to return to work, and in doing so, giving them the independence, dignity and self respect that goes with it.
