De Valera's Daughters go on show in London

De Valera’s daughters is just one of a series of paintings on show at the Pyms Gallery in London over the coming weeks.

The oil on linen, by Belfast artist Rita Duffy, is part of a collection called Arctic Circus that will be on show in the Mayfair gallery until June 29.

The Pyms Gallery, founded by Alan and Mary Hobard in 1975, has a long tradition of art excellence focusing on both late nineteenth and early twentieth century British, French and Irish works as well as the old masters and twentieth century European art.

Duffy returns to the gallery following her successful exhibition run with Severence last summer.

She is one of the North of Ireland's most ground-breaking artists. Often autobiographical her work includes themes and images of Irish identity, history and politics.

The Pyms Gallery is located on 9 Mount Street, London W1K 3NG. For details contact 0207 629 2020.
