Hollywood drag queen RuPaul has a novel way of pronouncing Saoirse Ronan's name

EVEN SAOIRSE will have trouble understanding this, we're sure...

Saoirse Ronan has always had trouble with people pronouncing and mispronouncing her name, from British people to Americans alike.

The Carlow native has even written a song about pronouncing her name properly, which she performed while presenting SNL recently.

One person who obviously hasn't heard the song is drag queen RuPaul who coined an even more hilarious pronunciation of the actress' name.

Having already seen Lady Bird, the new film Saoirse Ronan stars in, Ru took to Twitter to congratulate the cast of the film.

He supported Greta Gerwig, Laurie Metcalf and Beanie Feldstein however when it came to writing Saoirse's name, Ru had his own idea of the correct pronunciation. He decided to hilariously dub her 'Sir Shaw'.

RuPaul said: "LOVED film "Lady Bird." Sir Shaw, Greta Gerwig & Laurie Metcalf for the win. Beanie Feldstein is effen brilliant, too."
