Summer arrived, if only briefly, in London just in time for the annual GOAL UK Summer Ball, held this year at the Jumeirah Carlton Tower, Knightsbridge.
The International Humanitarian Organisation celebrates its 35th anniversary this year and guests at the event helped raise £60,000 for GOAL's work with the poorest of the poor in the developing world.
The evening also saw a special presentation made to Bob Casey, a long-standing Patron of GOAL UK, who visited one of the organisation's projects in Calcutta last summer.
The presentation was made by Ambassador Bobby McDonagh to honour Casey's illustrious career with London Irish Rugby Club.
Other special guests on the evening included Pat Cash, President GOAL UK and journalist Fergal Keane.
