A MAN has been arrested following the discovery of a woman’s body at an apartment in Dublin today.
The body was discovered at 2.30pm at an apartment in Homestead Court, Cabra by the Dublin Fire Brigade, who alerted the gardaí.
RTÉ News reports that the woman is a 33-year-old mother-of-two who is believed to be the victim of a violent assault.
The body remains at the scene while gardaí carry out an examination.
It is due to be moved shortly while a post mortem will be carried out tomorrow.
A man in his 30s was arrested this evening in connection with the incident.
He is being detained at Mountjoy Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
