TWO tourists had a lucky escape in Ireland after their car was left dangling over a ledge at a popular Irish beauty spot.
The couple had just pulled into the car park by Ladies View in Killarney, Co. Kerry when they found themselves teetering over the edge of a small stone wall.
This dramatic picture was taken by Raymond O'Shea, owner of Ladies View Cafe which overlooks the viewing point, after the pair were rescued.
As the car was left perched precariously at the edge of the steep drop, witnesses rushed to help the driver and passenger, believed to be a young couple in their 20s from Taiwan.
The back wheel of the car was the only thing stopping the Renault Fluence from plunging hundreds of feet to the ground below.
The freak accident along the Ring of Kerry route happened at lunchtime.
The car was eventually recovered around 4pm.
A very lucky escape indeed!
