Former celebrity publicist and convicted sex offender Max Clifford has died

74-YEAR-OLD Max Clifford has died in prison.

The convicted sex offender collapsed last week and had a heart attack before his health finally deteriorated.

The former publicist had been serving an eight-year sentence for numerous sex offences he committed on girls between the ages of 14 to 19.

According to BBC, he died in hospital after collapsing in Littlehey Prison in Cambridgeshire.

The Minister for Justice confirmed the death: "As with all deaths in custody, there will be an investigation by the independent Prisons and Probation Ombudsman."

The statement also said: "Our condolences are with Mr Clifford's family at this difficult time."
