Irish Pub in the US serving free beer alongside COVID-19 vaccines this weekend

AN IRISH pub in the US is playing its part in tackling the coronavirus pandemic by offering Covid-19 vaccines with the added incentive of a free beer for anyone who gets the jab.

Deer Park Irish Pub in Fort Wayne, Indiana, is offering doses of the Johnson & Johnson and the Moderna COVID-19 vaccines to anyone who drops by this coming Saturday, May 22nd.

As an added incentive, anyone receiving the jab at the pub will receive “five beer bucks” to use at the pub on their next visit.

The pub’s owner, Tony Henry, has teamed up with Three Rivers Pharmacy and Anthony Medical Associates to offer the shots, which are available to anyone over the age of 18.

In addition to the free beer tokens, Deer Park Irish Pub will also be providing a glut of other giveaways at the door as part of a series of hourly prize draws.

Taking to Facebook, Henry implored those who haven’t taken up the offer of a vaccine to head on down for a well-earned beer and a much-needed boost to their immune system.

“The pub naturally is a gathering place for social activity and conversation, why not offer a shot?” he explained in a video posted on the social media platform.

“I want to see you and cheer with you next year on St. Paddy’s Day," he added.

Anyone hoping to get involved in the beer and vaccine fun should head down anytime between 11am and 3pm.
