London Irish community rallying to find missing GAA player Neil Coady as worries grow for his welfare

FRIENDS and teammates of missing London Irish hurler Neil Coady are holding a meeting tonight to step up efforts to find him.

Mr Coady, 31, who is originally from Co. Kilkenny, has been missing since the evening of Wednesday, January 27, when he visited the Man of Aran pub in Rayners Lane to pick up a bag he had left there.

The keen hurler plays with St Gabriel’s hurling club in the capital, having represented London at inter-county level.

The team and members of the London Irish community are meeting this evening at 8pm at St. Gabriel’s Hurling Clubhouse, Vale Farm Sports Ground, East Lane, Wembley.

Mr Coady had recently told friends that he was moving into a new address in Greenford, west London, but it is not known if he had moved in yet. He previously lived in Lambeth and Clapham, both in south-west London.

He is described as white, 6ft 1inch tall and of slim to medium build and works as an electrician.

Those that know him describe Mr Coady as a quiet person who is known to go out by himself, but his disappearance is explained as completely out of character.

He has deleted his Facebook account, and police are growing increasingly concerned about his welfare and are urging him to make contact.

Anyone who has seen Neil Coady, or knows of his whereabouts, is asked to contact Ealing Police via 101 quoting ref: 16MIS004820 – alternatively call the charity Missing People on 116000.
