A Leeds health and well-being charity has achieved a special status in Britain for its champion work.
Irish Health and Homes, based in West Yorkshire, is now rated gold with Investors in People, Britain’s leading management standard that recognises professionalism and commitment to delivering service to clients.
To get this special status LIHH went through a rigorous assessment process that looked at its communications processes, how it deals with clients, social responsibility and staff development.
LIHH Chief Executive Ant Hanlon said: “We’re all proud of achieving the gold status because it shows the high level of experience and skill in our team and demonstrates that we’re committed to delivering the best possible service to our clients.”
“The impact we have within the Irish community is huge. Our clients have a sense of achievement and pride in what we achieve for them. They like the fact that Irish is in the name of the organisation and that makes them proud of us,” spokesperson Jenny Whisker said.
The charity will be organising a special event later this year to celebrate.
