Widow who asked for rose to be placed in river for late husband honoured by kind stranger

What a kind deed.

A widow who lost their husband left a note at Sutton Coldfield in Bermingham asking for a rose to be thrown into the river.

The widow's husband's ashes were in the lake but due to the person using a wheelchair, they were unable to reach the river.

The note, picked up by one kind stranger, read: "Please can someone throw this into the lake for me?

"My late husband's ashes are in the lake and I can't get to the lakeside in my wheelchair anymore and gates are locked - have to drive back up north tonight. Thanks," it added.

The person who threw the rose in to join the ashes of the deceased man assured whoever the person was that the flower was now in the lake.

"This note was left on the gate at the water this afternoon. No name or number left but whoever you are, rest assured your rose is in place in the middle of the lake," the tweet read.

What a lovely gesture!
