Ryanair announce details of 12 additional flights between Ireland to Britain for October

Ryanair to add additional flights from UK to Ireland and EU destinations

THE no-frills airline Ryanair has announced they will add 300 more flights between Europe and Britain in October.

While most of these additional flights will be to sunny destinations such as Malaga, Palma, Alicante, Faro and Barcelona, Ryanair has confirmed to The Irish Post that 12 additional flights will be added between Ireland and Britain.

The airline's spokesperson said that, from the end of October, eight more flights will be available from three Irish airports (Knock, Shannon and Dublin) to London's Luton and Stansted airports.

There will also be two additional flights from Dublin to Edinburgh and another two flights from Knock to Bristol.

These additional flights will only be available for one week to cover the Irish October bank holiday (31st October) and the Irish schools' autumn break (which runs from 31st October to 4th November this year), said the spokesperson.

Ryanair recently announced they were cutting the costs to check in luggage by up to 17 per cent (a saving of approximately £4 for a 15-kilogram bag and £3 for a 20-kilogram bag) for flights of under three hours in duration, which includes all flights from Britain to Ireland.

Here is a breakdown of the additional flights between Ireland and Britain coming in October:

  • two flights between Bristol and Knock
  • two flights between Edinburgh and Dublin
  • one flight between Luton and Kerry
  • two flights between Luton and Knock
  • two flights between Stansted and Kerry
  • three flights between Stansted and Shannon
