HAVING slipped further down the goalkeeping pecking order in Martin O’Neill’s Ireland squad, poor David Forde didn’t have the best conclusion to 2015.
And his luck doesn’t seem to be on the up this year either, with the Galway man’s major blunder for current club Millwall going viral on Thursday night.
The Lions were beaten 2-0 at home, and Forde certainly didn’t help their cause, badly misjudging a cross and diverting the ball into his own net.
The 36-year-old veteran would have hoped to impress having been given the chance to stake his claim for a first-team place after losing Millwall's No.1 spot to Jordan Archer.
Unfortunately, on this evidence, Scottish youngster Archer has little to worry about.
