Bomb found in garden of home

A device found in Belfast was discovered to be a bomb.

A suspicious object was reported to police on Friday afternoon.

The device was found in the area of St James Mews in north Belfast in the garden of a residence.

Police and Army attended the scene and examined the device.

The explosive device was made safe and removed from the area.

Detective Sergeant Gardiner is appealing for anyone who was in the St James Mews area on Friday morning and who witnessed anyone in the area or anyone who has any information that can assist with the investigation to contact Detectives in Musgrave on 101 quoting reference 499 26/10/18.
