The status yellow wind warning given for counties Clare, Cork and Kerry has also extended to Galway.
Winds will reach mean speeds of 55 to 60 km/h with gusts 90 to 110 km/h in Kerry and in the west of Cork, Clare and Galway.
The warning was issued today at 4.31pm and remains valid until tomorrow morning at 6am.
