US shopper violently throws food at supermarket staff after being asked to wear mask

EXTRAORDINARY FOOTAGE has surfaced on social media of a US woman embarking on an expletive-laden tantrum while aggressively tossing food items from her supermarket trolley.

The woman in the clip, which has been widely shared on Twitter, reportedly took umbrage after asked to wear a face mask while shopping.

Face masks are being increasingly viewed as one of the easiest and most practical ways to help stop the spread of Covid-19.

However, they have become something of a hot-button issue in the US, with many objecting to being made to wear them.

In the footage, which is alleged to have been filmed at a supermarket in Dallas, Texas, the woman can be seen acting aggressively while throwing items out of her trolley and loudly raging at the decision.

“Over a dumbass motherf*****g mask … f****n dumb. I don’t give a f**k, I’m from Dallas,” she begins by saying.

“Your dumbass motherf*****g rules and your dumbass motherf*****g s**t,” the woman continues before concluding, “Put all that s**t the f**k back. I don’t give a f**k. I got a f*****g mask.”

According to TMZ, the incident occurred at Fiesta Market in Dallas and stemmed from the fact the woman was “asked to put her mask back on to check out.”

Last weekend, US Vice President Pence implored Americans to wear face masks,  amid a new spike in coronavirus infections as the United States surpassed 2.5 million confirmed cases.

However, President Donald Trump has so far refused to wear a mask during the pandemic, whether at the White House where officials and aides are tested regularly, or in public settings.
