Conor McGregor's 'apology' on the Late Late Show has left viewers unimpressed

EVEN before Conor McGregor featured on last night's Late Late Show, people were gearing up for an entertaining night of television.

The UFC fighter is known for his outlandish antics both in and outside the fighting arena, so with an appearance scheduled for the Late Late, all eyes were on the Notorious.

McGregor appeared on the Late Late Show to talk about his line of work and his son, but most notably, Ryan Tubridy asked about Conor's recent use of the 'f word'.

Weeks ago, McGregor was recorded on camera calling another fighter a 'f*ggot' which prompted many people to question McGregor's attitude to homophobia, considering the extremely negative connotations the word has.

While on the Late Late, the 29-year-old Dublin man offered a stuttering apology:

"I said what I said and I meant no disrespect to nobody… of any… the LGBT… I didn’t mean no disrespect… You’d swear I was talking about… Or screaming at two people of the same sex kissing."

The fighter's apology left viewers and fans desiring a lot more from the Notorious, considering the long history of the fight for gay rights in Ireland and the severity of the 'f word' as an insult.
