Ange Postecoglou says Celtic's first league win under his management is 'hard for him to comprehend'

CELTIC BOSS Ange Postecoglou say's Celtic's first league win under his management is 'hard for him to comprehend'.

Celtic regained the Scottish league title from Rangers by drawing 1-1 with Dundee United on Wednesday night.

The result leaves both Rangers and Celtic with a game to play, but the four-point gap can't be overcome, leaving Celtic as Champions.

Postecoglou arrived from Japanese side Yokohama F Marinos and hit bumpy waters in the preliminary stages with a 2-1 defeat to Hearts in the opening weeks.

Last year Celtic finished 25 points behind Rangers, but the turning point came in December when Celtic beat their Glasgow rivals 3-0 back in February.

Celtic never looked back and increased and maintained the gap over the season to win the League.

Speaking about his maiden win, the Celtic boss said: "

"It's hard for me to comprehend," he said.

"I've had this lifelong dream to manage a world-famous club, trying to make an impact."

"I'm in this spot now of achieving something I've always wanted to achieve. I guess it's a weird kind of feeling for me."

"You feel drained because we've had to be really focused this year and not get distracted. To play in this city it's very easy to get distracted by other teams and issues."

"There's a potential to take you away from what's important and we've been concentrating so hard."

A host of legends at the club congratulated the Celtic boss for his achievement.

Celtic legend Kenny Dalglish paid tribute to Postecoglou on social media.

Congratulations to @CelticFC !! Not bad for your first season Ange. Sure, it was a Grand Old Team to play for….!”, he said.

The most amusing aspect of the night was the official Celtic Twitter account prompting rapper Snoop Dogg to get a flight to Glasgow after the win.

Snoop admitted in March that Celtic were one of his favourite teams and insisted he was going to make the trip to Scotland to join the party if the Hoops won the Premiership title.

Celtic will receive the trophy this weekend after the game against Motherwell on Saturday.
