Cork dominate PwC Camogie All-Star Awards

Cork, the All-Ireland champions have dominated this year's PwC Camogie All-Star Awards. Eight players from the county were honoured in the XV lineup, announced at a ceremony in Croke Park on Saturday evening. 

In the forward line, captain Amy O'Connor, along with Katrina Mackey and Hannah Looney, received accolades. The nomination was claimed by defenders Libby Coppinger, Meabh Cahalane, and Laura Treacy, with Amy Lee being nominated in goal. The final Cork All-Star was given to midfielder Saoirse McCarthy.

All-Ireland finalists Waterford secured three All-Stars. Efforts of Vikki Falconer, Lorraine Bray, Beth Carton were also recognised. Carton was also named the senior player of the year.

Senior semi-finalists Tipperary earned two spots in this year's XV, with Karen Kennedy and Cáit Devane making the cut. The remaining positions on the team were awarded to Galway’s Róisín Black and Denise Gaule of Kilkenny.

The manager of the year award was given to Cork’s Matthew Twomey, who, in his final game at the helm, led the Munster side to the All-Ireland title.
