ACTOR Macaulay Culkin has recreated his classic Christmas movie Home Alone for the 21st century.
Culkin, now aged 38, became a household name thanks to the 1990 hit, which is the highest grossing Christmas movie of all time in North America.
The film, which sees Culkin’s eight-year-old Kevin McCallister left on his own over Christmas, is essential festive viewing.
#heygoogle Have you ever wondered what Kevin McCallister is like as an adult? Me neither. But just in case you’re curious you should totally watch this #ad pic.twitter.com/uO9qMPrUT3

But have you ever wondered what would have happened to poor Kevin if his family really had disappeared forever?
Well, Culkin has now recreated the movie for a Google ad, riffing on many of the film’s best loved scenes to show how technology could help adult Kevin.
The video has already received millions of views in a matter of hours, showing the lasting appeal of the holiday classic after almost three decades.
The original film spawned four inferior sequels, each one worse than the last.
However after watching this, we’d pay good money to see a feature-length adventure about adult Kevin, which could breathe new life in to the franchise.
