Irish Ambassador leads Ireland to golfing victory over Britain

IRISH AMBASSADOR to Britain Dan Mulhall led Team Ireland to golfing victory over Team GB in a Ryder Cup style competition at Foxhills golf club in Surrey on Friday.

The Ambassadors Challenge Cup is the construction industry's very own Ryder Cup competition and is organised by the Lighthouse Club charity in conjunction with the British and Irish Trading Alliance (BITA).

Ambassador Mulhall lead a team of 40 Irish golfers against Team GB, led by former England rugby international Mark Regan MBE. Now in it's third year, the score between the two teams stood at 1-1 going into this year's event.

A great day of fun and golfing action was rounded off with a prize-giving dinner and auction.

The Lighthouse Club charity is this year celebrating 60 years of delivering financial and welfare support to construction workers and their families.
