Caitlyn Jenner reveals plans for surprise appearance on Mrs Brown's Boys

CAITLYN JENNER is set to appear in an upcoming episode of Mrs Brown’s Boys.

The 70-year-old took to Instagram to confirm the news, posting a picture of herself on set alongside Brendan O’Carroll.

“Had so much fun shooting this funny comedy in Scotland! Mrs. Brown’s Boys!” The I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here star wrote alongside the image.

The image features Jenner sat on set at Mrs Brown’s kitchen table reading a newspaper with O’Carroll’s Agnes Brown looking concerned in the background.

Jenner is expected to play a cameo role in the hit BBC sitcom.

The guest appearance was filmed during a visit to the UK this week.

Jenner was in the UK last month for the National Television Awards.

Though originally planned as a whistle-stop visit, Jenner’s stay was extended so the Mrs Brown’s Boys appearance could be filmed.

It followed on from the Irish sitcom's success at the NTAs.

Mrs Brown's Boys beat Derry GirlsSex Education, Fleabag and Ricky Gervais' After Life to win the award for Best Comedy on the night.

A divisive presence in the primetime schedule, O’Carroll previously moved to silence critics of the show by urging them “change” the channel.

The 64-year-old, who plays central matriarch Agnes Brown on the show made the remarks in an interview with The Sun.

“The evidence of four National Television Awards means people are not just liking it — they’re actually prepared to stand up and shout it,” O’Carroll said.

“Radio Times named us ‘Sitcom of the Century’. We can only hope nothing good happens in the next eight decades to upset that.”
