Footage emerges of tourists getting robbed at GUNPOINT near Guinness Storehouse in Dublin

SHOCKING footage has emerged of a tourist couple getting robbed at gunpoint in broad daylight by a hooded figure in Dublin.

The incident allegedly took place on Monday evening around 6pm on Longs Place, Dublin 8 near to the Guinness Storehouse.

Gardai are said to be currently carrying out an investigation.

The attack allegedly happened near the famous Guinness storehouse

In the footage, realised by RTE Radio, a figure in a blue hoodie can be seen pointing what appears to be a handgun at a woman, before a male partner rushes over.

The gun-toting individuals then points it at the man before he and a hooded companion of his make off with a stolen mobile phone.

A Garda spokesperson said: "Two males armed with what is believed to be a gun, allegedly stole a phone from a pedestrian.

"No injuries were reported. No arrests have been made and investigations are ongoing."
