Lancashire Police appeal for wanted Irishman

LANCASHIRE Police have released images of four men from the eastern region of the county who are wanted for separate offences in the area.

Irishman Thomas Ward is wanted in connection with burglaries where items of jewellery were stolen.

The 21-year-old, who is known to frequent the Blackburn and Hyndburn area, is described as 5ft 9, of a slim build with cropped dark brown hair and an Irish accent.

He is thought to have connections to the Traveller community across Lancashire.

Stephen Jonathan, 38, who previously lived in the Baxenden area, is wanted in connection with a serious assault in Burnley that occurred in September of this year.

Described as 5ft 10 tall, he has brown hair, hazel coloured eyes and distinctive Tasmanian devil and bulldog tattoos on his forearms.

Lancashire police officers believe he has links across Burnley and Hyndburn but may now have left the county.

Mark Brown, 40, from Blackburn, who has links to the Manchester area, is wanted on prison recall after failing to abide by his probation conditions whilst on licence for burglary offences.

At 5ft 11, with balding brown hair, Brown also has dots tattooed across his left knuckles.

Rumel Miah, 24, is also wanted on prison recall.

Previously convicted for drug supply, Miah is now wanted following a recent arrest for assault and is thought to be in the Daneshouse area of Burnley.

Sergeant Andy Horne of Lancashire Police said: “I am urging local communities across Lancashire to help us trace these wanted men, and if they themselves see this appeal, please get in touch and attend your nearest police station.”

He added: “Any information should be passed on by calling 101 and anything provided will be treated in confidence.”
