Woman falls from cliffs in Leinster

THE WOMAN fell from cliffs at Howth Head in south County Dublin.

At 3 pm on Friday afternoon, the woman fell from the large cliffs she was walking on and found herself in difficulty.

The Coast Guard at Howth was made aware of the incident and the authorities were alerted to her situation.

According to The Journal, teams of people were tasked with searching for the woman, who is believed to be in her 40s.

The woman, aided by Dublin Fire Brigade and An Garda Síochána was discovered and was brought to a local hospital for treatment of her injuries sustained.

Her status is said to be critical, with injuries encountered defined as not life-threatening.
