Amanda Serrano has now claimed that she didn't lose her fight against Katie Taylor

AMANDA SERRANO has performed a u-turn on her stance that she lost her fight against Ireland's Katie Taylor.

After Taylor won by split decision on March 30th, the Purto Rican took to to social media to praise the Bray native and accept the defeat.

Taylor was given a score of 97-93 and 96-93 by the first two judges, with a third giving it 96-94 to Serrano.

Now she has reversed that stance saying that she did not lose the bout.

Serrano tweeted "One week later…Had a chance to reflect on the fight against Katie. It was very close, but I did not lose. That I am certain of. Next time I will leave no doubt. Can’t Wait!

"I walked in a champ and I walked out a champ."

Fans of Taylor have hit back at Serrano for the comments, with some even saying that Serrano had blinkers on and that it was sour grapes

One user said: "Sour grapes, the judge's said she lost, Katie Taylor should tell her the same. But Katie is too humble to tell her that."
