IRELAND AND Galway middleweight Gabriel Dossen has secured a medal at the European Championships in Armenia after beating Norway's Mindaugas Gedminas with a 4-1 split decision victory.

Light flyweight quarter-finals, Nesbitt faced Bulgaria's Regional Sebahtin, but lost by unanimous decision.

Welterweight Eugene McKeever also lost out due to a unanimous decision against Serbia's Vakhid Abbasov.

And Light-middleweight Luke Maguire was beaten on a split decision, losing 3-2 to Georgia's Esterkham Madiev.
