Lee Chin has been announced as the Wexford team captain for the hurlers for the 2023 season

WEXFORD HURLER Lee Chin has been announced as the team captain for the 2023 season.

The Faythe Harriers man has been given the responsibility once more by manager Darragh Egan after undertaking the role in 2022.

Rory O’Connor has been handed a vice-captaincy role.

Damien Reck of Oylegate/Glenbrien has also been given the role as vice-captain for the upcoming season.

Wexford GAA announced the news via their Twitter account on Wednesday.

"Manager Darragh Egan has again named Lee Chin of  @faytheharriers as Wexford senior hurling captain for the year. Vice captains are Rory O'Connor of @StMartinsGAA and Damien Reck of @OylegateGAA,"said the tweet.

"Best wishes to them and all the rest for the season ahead."

Wexford travel to Mullingar to face Westmeath in Round 2 of the Allianz Hurling League this Sunday,

Egan's side will be looking to make amends after his side lost at home to Galway in the opening round last Saturday.
