Reports state that Klopp has suggested that he could extend his Liverpool deal beyond 2024

LIVERPOOL'S SEASON COULDN'T get better could it, well think again.

Jurgen Klopp could on the verge of extending his current contract at Liverpool after reports emerged that the club are set to sit down with the the Liverpool boss over a new deal.

According to the Liverpool Echo Mike Gordon, president of owners Fenway Sports Group, who worked on the finer details of his contract in 2019 is set to work his magic once again in the near future.

Klopp has insisted previously that he was set to walk away from the club in 2024, when his current deal runs out, but that stance may be about to change which will delight Liverpool fans.

Speaking back in March, the German said:

“If I have the energy levels for it,"

"That is important. I love what I do but I’ve said a couple of times there must be something else out there in the world, to be honest, apart from always thinking about properly skilled, good-looking, fantastically nice football players."

It is now believed the club have been encouraged by positive noises coming from Klopp's agent Marc Kosicke who was in the directors' box, seated close to Gordon at Anfield last night.

Klopp has turned Liverpool from pretenders to contenders on all fronts since he arrived at the club in 2015.

The club are now on the verge of winning a historic quadruple this season.

Liverpool have already won the League Cup, are in the final of the FA Cup, beat Villarreal 2-0 in the Champions League semi-final last night, and are a point behind Premier League Champions Manchester City in the League.

They face Newcastle at 12.30 this Saturday in their latest quest for the feat.
