The new partnership has been formed to strengthen the relationship between the Irish in Liverpool and The Irish Post.

Liverpool Irish Festival will increase awareness of the events taking place through a full programme of promotional and editorial activity via the newspaper’s weekly edition and digital resources, including http://http://irishpost.co.uk .

The Irish Post will have branding in Liverpool throughout the festival, reinforcing its position as the paper at the heart of the Irish in Britain.

Fiona Audley, regional editor of The Irish Post, said: “The Irish Post is delighted to team up with Liverpool Irish Festival as media partners for its impressive 2013 event.

"The Festival has a wonderful history and fantastic reputation for bringing the best of Irish culture, entertainment and the arts to the forefront in Liverpool – one of the most Irish of cities in Britain and a cultural hotspot with great musical affiliations.

"We hope Irish Post readers from across Britain will get to Merseyside this October to join us and enjoy the festival first-hand.

"For those who can’t make it we look forward to sharing the best of the festival with the Irish community across Britain in our Irish Post pages and on our website throughout the duration of the ten day Irish cultural extravaganza.”

Jake Roney, festival manager of Liverpool Irish Festival 2013, said: “Liverpool Irish Festival is proud to have The Irish Post as its official media partner.

"October's Festival is the most ambitious yet, with ten days of music, theatre, film, dance, drama, talks, walks, tours and for the first time, a Festival Club. Our partnership with The Irish Post will help us reach the Irish community throughout the UK.”
