I'm a Celebrity... Irish model zip-wires her way into the jungle

IRISH model Nadia Forde zip-wired her way into this year’s I’m a Celebrity… Get me Out of Here as the new series kicked off on Sunday evening.

The 25-year-old  made a dramatic entrance into the jungle at night.

“I’ve never done anything as scary as this before. I’m very anxious about this. I wonder what’s on the other end of this,” she said as she prepared to jump.

Relatively unknown outside of Ireland, Forde is a model, actress and singer who has her own reality TV show Nadia Goes to Hollywood.

Forde was romantically linked to golfer Rory McIlroy this summer – but denies she had anything to do with the end of his engagement to former world tennis number one Caroline Wozniacki.

She confessed that she is terrified of everything that she is set to experience in the jungle.

“I’m scared of rats, snakes, spiders, heights, deep water, confined spaces, I'm making myself out to be such a wimp,” she added.

There was a new twist as this year’s series begun, with the celebrities split into two groups before even entering the jungle.

For the first time ever, viewers had the opportunity to vote for one group to have a final night of luxury while the other group were thrown into the celebrity slammer – a jungle jail.

Unfortunately for Nadia she was sent straight to the slammer, along with Craig Charles, Vicki Michelle, Carl Fogarty and Gemma Collins.

The remaining celebrities in show are: Michael Buerk, Tinchy Stryder, Kendra Wilkinson, Jimmy Bullard and Melanie Sykes.

Last year saw the the first ever Irish winner of the gross-out reality show, when Westlife's Kian Egan was crowned King of the Jungle.
