Irish politician videos marathon adventure into 'no man's land' at Stormont for Snickers bar

A SINN Féin MLA went on a marathon adventure across 'no man's land' DUP territory in Stormont for a Snickers bar in a viral video.

Tyrone MLA Barry McElduff set out on the journey across the third floor in Stormont in search of the chocolate bar.

"I'm on the third floor of Stormont Parliament Buildings," he said to the camera. "This is the Sinn Féin side but way down there, is DUP territory, it's a bit like East Germany and West Germany.

"That's where I have to go to get me Snickers bar because the vending machine is in the DUP territory.

Stopping midway, McElduff says: "I'm in no man's land now, stopping between the two areas, and I'm just moving into DUP territory.

"I've just past Peter Weir's office and I'm nearly there, I've run the gauntlet of DUP offices on the third floor but I'm getting there.

"I'm at the vending machine on the third floor in the DUP area and there's my snickers there," he says before popping his pound in the machine and holding the Snickers above his head in victory.
