They're back!: The Script reveal new album and announce a UK & Ireland tour for 2020

IRISH POP legends The Script are back with a bang as they announce a new Europe, UK and Ireland tour-- as well as revealing the name, cover and release date for their highly anticipated new album.

The Dublin three-piece will be playing all their hits as well as treating fans to new tracks for the first time (Pun not intended but totally appreciated).

The band made the announcement on Twitter this morning after an ominous countdown on Instagram, which had started in September, finally reached zero.

The 21-date tour will hit cities such as London, Amsterdam, Cologne and Copenhagen, and will include two Dublin dates as the lads descend on the 3 Arena on Friday the 6th and Saturday the 7th of March.

Some European fans were disappointed that the tour appears to skip over their country entirely, but there are high hopes that more dates will be added later.

Either way, it's a good day to be a Script fan: the countdown timer also marked the revelation of the name, cover and release date of their new album-- and if the gorgeous and fantastical cover is anything to go by, it looks like it's going to be a good one.

The Script's sixth studio album is called Sunsets and Full Moons, and is set to be released on November 8th-- which is less than a month away.
