US REALITY star Kim Kardashian is being tipped to appear on the hit Netflix series Bridgerton after striking up a friendship with cast member Nicola Coughlan.
The Derry Girls actress was the one who first convinced Kardashian to tune into the series several months back with the former Mrs Kanye West hooked ever since.
Now in a fresh twist, Coughlan has given Kardashian another reason to love the series after revealing one of the families on the show is actually based on Kim’s clan.
The Irish star took to Twitter to reveal that the Featheringtons are actually based on the family made famous to millions through Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
The Irish actress tweeted: "As the world’s number one @bridgerton stan does @KimKardashian know that the Kardashians were a massive inspiration for the Featheringtons and we talked about them all the time during our fittings? Because I feel like she should know this."
Responding to the claim on Twitter Kim wrote: "WHAT?!?! I am freaking out!!!!!! This tweet was sent to me on my @bridgerton group chat! Can I please come to a fitting?!?! It would make my whole life!!!!!! I love you Lady W!!!"
Responding to the reality star’s request, Coughlan wrote: “Omg yesss of course we would love to have you! Also did you know that Mr Pearl made your corset for the Met Gala and the very next one he made was mine for Bridgerton? You’ve been part of the Bridgerton world for longer than you know!”

Kardashian replied: “OMG I’m gonna faint!!!!!! Does this make me an honorary Duchess in Bridgerton ?!?!?!? I am the corset Queen!!!
Keen to keep the good vibes flowing, Coughlan wrote back: “Why of course, Duchess Kardashian of Calabasas! Lady Whistledown is happy to declare you the season’s true incomparable.”
Kardashian responded: “I will wear this title proudly and not let you down Lady Whistledown!”
The interaction has sparked fresh speculation that Kardashian could make an appearance on the series in a potential cameo role.
“Maybe we should all be keeping our eyes peeled for a Kim K. cameo in Bridgerton's second season,” Buzzfeed entertainment writer Larry Fitzmaurice said. “Hey, stranger things have happened...”
Stranger things have, indeed, certainly happened as anyone who recalls Ed Sheeran’s surprise turn in Game of Thrones can attest.
Kardashian does have some acting experience too having appeared in the films Disaster Movie, Deep in the Valley and Temptation: Confessions of a Marriage Counselor.

With Bridgerton fans still reeling from the departure of Regé-Jean Page after just one series, a Kardashian cameo could be the perfect tonic for fans of the show.
Coughlan and Kardashian certainly have plenty in common - starting with their nationality.
According to DNA genealogy app Gradient, Kim is 29% Irish.
