Manchester Police appeal for Irishman Felix Rooney wanted for alleged £100,000 fraud of pensioner

POLICE in Manchester are appealing for help to find an Irishman wanted for fraud.

Felix Rooney, 36, is wanted for fraud by false representation after a 72-year-old man was allegedly charged almost £100,000 for repair work.

The true value of the work was estimated at less than £1,000.

The offence took place in Didsbury in June 2015.

Police first issued an appeal last year but have now renewed it with a new picture (above) after discovering Rooney has changed his appearance.

Rooney, who has an Irish accent and scars on his face, is known to frequently move around Britain and has links to a number of different areas, including the West Midlands, Worcester and London.

Anybody with information about Rooney’s whereabouts should contact police on 101 or the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
