Prince Harry suggests Covid-19 pandemic is result of us mistreating 'Mother Nature'

PRINCE HARRY has suggested that the Covid-19 pandemic happened because of the way humans have mistreated the Earth.

During an interview for Waterbear, a streaming platform dedicated to environmental documentaries, the Duke of Sussex daringly claimed that he considers Covid-19 to be some sort of ecological retribution on the part of the 'Mother Nature,' and that we must all consider it to be a wake-up call.

"Somebody said to me at the beginning of the pandemic, it's almost as though Mother Nature has sent us to our rooms for bad behaviour to really take a moment and think about what we've done," he said.

Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle have been very vocal on the subject of climate change, but some have called them for hypocrisy in their actions.

The 36-year-old went on to reprimand humanity for taking Earth's natural resources for granted, and pondered why he would want to bring another child into this world if the natural element of it is "on fire".

"[The pandemic has] certainly reminded me about how interconnected we all are, not just as people, but through nature," he continued.

"We take so much from her and we rarely give a lot back.

"The moment you become a father, everything really does change because then you start to realise, well, what is the point in bringing a new person into this world when they get to your age and it's on fire?

"We can't steal their future, that's not the job we're here for."

Nevertheless, Harry has had a child - Archie - who is now 19-months old.
