Queen will find Meghan and Harry's behaviour 'deplorable', says Royal Expert

A ROYAL EXPERT  has weighed into the Megxit saga by saying that Queen Elizabeth will have found Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's actions since their departure from the UK "deplorable”.

Recent revelations by Prince Harry, detailing his long-term mental health struggles and the tribulations of growing up as a royal are the latest in a string of salvos that have been fired by the pair to Harry’s family across the Atlantic.

These statements come on the back of an unprecedented interview, where the former royals made several damaging allegations about the British royal family to talk show host Oprah Winfrey.

Speaking to Tom Bower at the Daily Star, Mr Fitzwilliams said: “The Sussexes’ activities, when they’ve spoken out, have been very, very damaging. There’s no doubt about it.”

In the wake of Meghan’s incendiary allegations of racism within the royal family, royal watchers are on tenterhooks waiting to see what the couple will come out with next.

Harry appears alongside Oprah in the new series ‘The Me You Can’t See’, in which the pair discuss the prince’s mental health in order to encourage others who are suffering to speak out.

Among other topics, Harry spoke about the hardships of losing his mother, the expectation to be stoic and stiff upper lipped in the eyes of the world, and how isolated he felt as a working royal.

The prince went further in an appearance to promote his Apple TV series on mental health on Dax Shepard’s podcast, Armchair Exepert, where he described his royal upbringing as a “cross between The Truman Show and the zoo.”

When asked if the queen would have taken Harry’s comments personally, Mr Fitzwilliams responded: “She has realised how unhappy they were, but speaking out in the way they have is a totally different thing.”

Mr Fitzwilliams said: “The Queen will have found the way the Sussexes have handled things, I think, deplorable.”
