Teen GAA player pays moving tribute to late friend and teammate

A special tribute from a good friend.

Last week brought the devastating news that one of Irish basketball's rising stars, Liam Chandler, had passed away at the age of 18.

The Cork teen had just recently represented his country at the Under 18 European Championships in Estonia and was a star player for his club side Neptune in Blackrock, Co. Cork.

In the last few days, a teammate and close friend of Chandler named Ciaran Adams, posted a tribute to him on Instagram which has been picked up and shared by his GAA club St Michaels GAA Club, also in Blackrock.

The message to a late friend has been commended and shared by many people in the sporting community and otherwise, for highlighting the visceral sense of loss felt amongst his peers.
