Cork and Limerick have named their teams for their Allianz hurling clash this weekend

BOTH LIMERICK AND CORK HAVE NAMED THEIR STARTING teams for the this weekend's Allianz Hurling League Division 1 Group A Round 1 game this Saturday

Seven of the Limerick team that beat Kilkenny last July start the game in Cork.

Declan Hannon captains the side.

Limerick star and two-time hurler of the year Cian Lynch starts on the bench for John Kiely's men.

Lynch has not played for the Treaty since the Munster Championship game against Waterford last April. He also missed Limerick's win over Kilkenny in the All-Ireland final last July.

"Cian is doing really well, has trained right throughout the block of work that we've done, and his recovery is pretty much what I'd call complete at this stage," said Kiely.

"He's just, like everybody else, getting on with his work. So, I'm very happy with his recovery thankfully."

For Cork Pat Ryan, who recently took over the role from Kieran Kingston has selected Sean O'Donoghue as his captain.

Ciarán Joyce, Damien Cahalane, Robbie O'Flynn, Conor Lehane, and Patrick Collins are also named to start for the Rebels.

The game will be one of four live GAA matches on TV this weekend.

The game in Páirc Uí Chaoimh will be broadcast live on RTE Two from 7.30 on Saturday, February 4.
