Stobart Air reshuffles board as former BMI Baby boss appointed

STOBART Air, formerly Aer Arann, has announced a number of new appointments to its Board and executive team.

Sean Brogan has been appointed to the role of Chairman having overseen the airline’s transformation during his tenure as Interim Chief Executive including implementing a 10 year agreement with Aer Lingus and bringing on a second franchise partner, Flybe.

Julian Carr, a former Managing Director and Commercial Director of BMI Baby, becomes Managing Director from May 6 joining the airline from global motion picture company, National Amusements, Inc. where he held the position of Chief Executive of the company’s British operations.

The airline has also announced the appointments of Tim Jeans and Yvonne Denney to the Board of the airline as non-executive directors.

Tim Jeans is a respected aviation executive, with considerable strategic and operational experience. He is a former Managing Director of Monarch Airlines, Chief Operating Officer of MyTravel Airways, Commercial Director of Ryanair and Head of Business Development at Manchester Airport.

Yvonne Deeney is an international finance and investment consultant, with regulatory, compliance, banking and leadership experience.
