Watch as Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke challenged to do an Irish accent

ENGLISH actress Emilia Clarke is no stranger to Irish accents.

The star spent many months in Northern Ireland filming scenes for hit series Game of Thrones, which featured hundreds of local extras.

But despite mastering Dothraki and High Valerian as Daenerys Targaryen, can Clarke pull off an Irish accent?

US talk show host Jimmy Fallon decided to put her to the test recently on The Tonight Show.

The host challenged Clarke, who was promoting her new comic book M.O.M.: Mother of Madness, to recite the lyrics from Olivia Rodrigo’s hit song good 4 u.

However the caveat was that she had to do so in a variety of accents.

Clarke made a fair stab at accents including German, Russian and French before attempting Irish last.

However her laconic attempt at an Irish brogue suggests she may not have mastered the accent just yet.

At least she cracked open a can of Guinness to add a bit of flavour to her performance.

Well, she has been known to enjoy a tipple in Irish hostelries.
