Cillian Murphy sends chocolate cake to Together for Yes to thank them for their hard work

IRISH actor Cillian Murphy has shown his support for a 'Yes' vote in Friday's abortion referendum by sending a cake to Together for Yes.

As well as the delicious-looking chocolate treat, the Peaky Blinders star also sent the organisation a note thanking them for their work promoting the Vote Yes campaign.

Together for Yes posted the note on Twitter, which read: "Thank you all so much for your hard work on the Yes campaign.

"Together for change, for equality, for love. Together for Yes! Best wishes, Cillian Murphy."

It's unclear whether Cillian baked the cake himself but either way, it's the thought that counts.

This isn't the first time the Cork native has spoken out in support of Vote Yes.

Appearing on the Blindboy Boatclub Podcast a fortnight ago, Cillian said: "If women don’t have the right to determine decisions about their own body, then they can’t have equal rights. It’s as simple as that."
