Paparazzi priest Fr Pat snaps himself, the bride, groom and entire congregation in epic Irish wedding selfie

WHEN Irish bride Sinéad O'Donnell said 'I do' at the altar, she had no idea this selfie taken by her priest would go viral.

Mrs O'Donnell wed husband Christopher in April at Annagry Church, Co. Donegal, with Fr Pat Ward officiating.

The photo only hit social this week when it was posted on Facebook by I 'Do' Wedding DVDs, and picked up by local paper Donegal Daily.

The couple, along with Fr Pat, decided to attempt the unorthodox photo during the wedding rehersal.

"Myself, Christopher and Fr Pat decided at the rehearsal that it would be nice to get a picture of everyone at the wedding," Sinéad O'Donnell told The Irish Post.

And luckily, Fr Pat was more than happy to use the selfie stick to capture the special moment during the nuptials.

"Once the ceremony was over, just before we walked up the aisle Fr. Pat took the selfie," Sinéad added. "I think the crowd were surprised it was happening but everyone loved it.

"We're delighted that everyone gets to see how down to earth Fr Pat is."
