66 feared dead following aircraft crash in Iran

A CARRIER for Aseman Airlines has crashed in central Iran in the early hours of today.

The flight was travelling from Tehran to the city of Yasuj but crashed due to heavy fog.

According to Irish Times, the plane was forced to crash in a mountainous area near a town called Semirom but could not land successfully.

It's said there were 66 passengers on the flight, which disappeared off the radar just 50 minutes after taking off.
