Ant & Dec officially reunite for the first time in almost a year for Britain's Got Talent 2019 auditions

ANT & DEC have been pictured working together for the first time in nearly a year as auditions for the new series of Britain's Got Talent got underway today.

McPartlin, 43, and Donnelly, also 43, arrived at the London Palladium together on Friday afternoon to begin filming for BGT 2019 - 10 months after Ant took a break from TV work following his arrest and conviction for drink-driving in March.

The Geordie duo posted a selfie taken together in the car on the way to the ITV show's auditions, writing on Instagram: "Audition day 1. The boys are back in town!"

During his recent hiatus, McPartlin also took a break from I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! for the first time in its 16-year history, with Donnelly presenting from the jungle alongside This Morning presenter Holly Willoughby.

Dec was also forced to present remaining episodes of the most recent Saturday Night Takeaway series alone, while the pair haven't been pictured together since April 2018 - when the last of the pre-recorded BGT auditions aired.

The first episode of BGT 2019 will air in April, while fans of Saturday Night Takeaway will have to wait longer as the show is not set to return until 2020.

And & Dec were joined at the London Palladium auditions today by BGT judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams.

Greeting their reunion on Instagram, I'm A Celeb 2018 co-host Willoughby wrote a celebratory "Woooohooooo!!!" alongside three applause emojis.

It remains to be seen whether the 37-year-old will return to the jungle in 2019 or if McPartlin will return alongside his long-time co-presenter once again.
