Appeal launched to help Irish woman living in Scotland diagnosed with leukemia

AN IRISH woman living in Scotland due to be married next year has been diagnosed with leukemia.

A GoFundMe has been set up to help Ballymena woman Lauren by her friend Liz Myles.

Lauren was diagnosed with Acute Myloid Leukemia in March of this year and since then, is being treated for her illness.

Lauren, originally from County Antrim, lives in Scotland but having worked for less than a year will only receive 2 months of full sick pay.

Most of Lauren's family still live in Antrim while Lauren lives in Glasgow and as the sole earner of her home with her partner, Ben will suffer financially with the loss of work.

Lauren's friend Liz Myles has set up the GoFundMe to help pay rent, bills and travel and accommodation expenses for Lauren's family as they continue to visit her at this trying time.

Lauren and her partner Ben are due to get married next year also.
